It's a Bird, It's a Plane, it's SUPERMAN!

Superman was born on the planet Krypton. Jor-El and Lara sent their son, Kal-El to earth as they became aware of the destruction of their planet. Jor-El places Kal-El in a spacecraft and sends him to earth. Kal-El lands in Smallville, Kansas. He is discovered by Jonathan and Martha Kent. He is raised as Clark Kent and as he is growing his super powers are discovered. With the guidance of his parents, Clark uses his powers responsibly to help others and to fight crime. Clark keeps his powers and his alien origins a secret to protect his friends. As he continues to fight crime and help humanity, Clark uses the disguise as Superman. You, know, with the cape and S! Superman doesn't kill his villains if he can avoid it, he simply turns them over to the proper authorities. The only real danger to Superman is the debris from his plant's explosion. It is radioactive and is lethal to Superman.

As Clark grows, he moves to Metropolis. He works as a reporter at the Daily Planet. Jimmy Olsen and Perry White become a part of his social circle, as well as Lois Lane. Lois Lane writes many stories of Superman and they develop romantic feelings for one another. It's fun to watch/read as Clark Kent has to balance Superman, Lois Lane and his job at the Daily Planet.

I think the Superman is a story of someone who helps others, without expecting anything in return. I think we should all try to be more like that!

I love sharing the stories of Superman with my children. They love the stories, whether they are through tv programs or our comic books.

Superman becomes the subject of frequent headline stories written by Lois, and the two become romantically attracted to each other.

Wii's Excited!

I won a Wii! I'm so excited!
Aside from the Mario Galaxies and Sports games, what games would you suggest?
My kids and I love the Mario games. For the most part, they are kid friendly-ish.
But I would like games for me, too. Mom games. I've heard some people talking about "mom games". I'm not certain what this refers to. Care to clarify?

It appears that Blogger has had some issues and has deleted several of my posts. So, I suppose we will just move forward and onward!

PSN, where have you gone?

So, if you haven't heard, the PlayStation Network is STILL DOWN!
They're network went down on April 20. Accounts were hacked and information was acquired. I won't pretend that I know what a lot of the technical verbiage means. However, what I do know, is that this is affecting my Netflix watching. So, cut it out!
The next Call of Duty game is supposed to be released at the end of this month. (The same day as the season 3 of True Blood!)

When asked how soon we can expect the PSN to be out, he responds,

"Honestly, we're not optimistic. Sony addressed the issue in its latest blog update. "We have a clear path to have PlayStation Network and Qriocity systems back online, and expect to restore some services within a week." What services are these? Quirocity? The PSN? We think Sony intends to bring back the PSN within a week, but we can't be sure.

If Sony is truly "rebuilding its system," that means new code is being written and tested. What we don't know is the extent of the rebuilding. Does Sony feel that its back-end database servers are vulnerable or were attacked? What about its network infrastructure? Was there a man-in-the-middle attack that stole network passwords? Some have speculated that custom firmware somehow contributed to taking down the system.

Sony issued its rebuilding statement on April 23. Again, it's impossible to say with certainty how long the PSN could be out. At a guess, however, we would say that Sony's PSN should be down about five to eight days after its statement, or anywhere from April 28 until May 1 or 2. We'd say that Sony is shooting for the PSN to be out less than a week, but is leaving itself some wiggle room."

So, not fun. I just hope the weather here will improve so we can go out to the parks.
